L  Website redesign
SHEET L · REDESIGN
NEW FRONT, KEPT SYSTEMS

A new website experience built around the systems you already use.

Your site takes orders, holds customer accounts or runs bookings, and it works. It just no longer looks like the business behind it. We redesign what your customers see and assess which systems behind it can stay: products, orders, accounts, content and the integrations your team relies on. What can be kept depends on the platform, and we confirm it before we quote.

L.01  What stays, what changes

Change what customers see. Keep what runs the business.

SHEET L.01 · SECTION
YOUR SITE, DRAWN IN LAYERS

A website is two things stacked together: the front your customers see, and the systems underneath that take orders, hold accounts and run bookings. Tell us what yours runs on, then step through how the front gets replaced while the floors stay put.

ChangesWhat customers seeCurrent design

Design, pages, navigation, speed on phones, and the templates and hosting behind them.

Product data, variants, stock and how the new pages read them.

  2. StaysOrders and checkoutLive

The payment provider, the checkout steps, order history and the emails that follow a purchase.

  3. StaysCustomer accountsLive

Logins, saved details and anything that depends on who is signed in.

  4. StaysBookings and formsLive

Booking tools, enquiry forms and where their submissions go.

  5. StaysContent and blogLive

Pages, posts and media, and how your team edits them.

CRM, email marketing, analytics, stock sync and anything else wired in.

Your data stays where it lives today

Customers see the current design. Everything underneath keeps working as it does now.

An answer, with reasons, before a quote. Some platforms take a new design on the same system. Some need a new frontend connected to the existing backend. Occasionally part of a system has to change or move. The review tells you which applies, and we never promise that every backend can stay unchanged.

L.02  How the change is made

Built beside the live site, released in control.

SHEET L.02 · RELEASE
FIVE STAGES
  1. 01

    Staging

The new experience is designed and built in a separate staging copy. Your live site keeps trading throughout.

    L.02.a
  2. 02

    Real journeys, tested

Sign-in, checkout or booking, forms and the emails customers receive are tested end to end before release, on the same backend they will use.

    L.02.b
  3. 03

    URLs and redirects

Useful addresses are kept. Where an address has to change, a redirect is planned for it, so links and search results still land on the right page.

    L.02.c
  4. 04

    Backups and rollback

Verified backups are taken before release, and there is a practical route back to the previous version if something needs it.

    L.02.d
  5. 05

    Controlled release

The switch happens at an agreed time, followed by checks on orders, forms, tracking and indexing.

What stays your call. You approve the design direction, name the journeys that must work before release and agree the release time. We only ask for access if the project goes ahead, through a secure route and with the least permission the work needs.

Priced after the review. A redesign is a scoped web-design project, quoted once we know the platform and what must keep working. The website packages show how our design work is structured.

L.04  Questions

Before you change anything.

Can you redesign my site without losing its working backend?

Often, yes, but not always, and we tell you which before quoting. The review checks your platform, hosting, templates, data and integrations. Some sites take a new design on the same system, some need a new front connected to the existing backend, and occasionally part of a system has to change. Your live site keeps trading while the new one is built and tested in staging.

Can you keep my Shopify, WordPress or custom backend?

Often, but it depends on the platform and how it was built. Some platforms take a new theme on the same system; some need a new frontend connected to the existing backend; occasionally part of the system has to change. The review tells you which applies before design work is priced.

Will a redesign hurt my search visibility?

We keep useful URLs where we can and plan redirects where they change, keep page titles and content intent, and check indexing after release. No one can guarantee rankings, and we do not promise them.

Do you need access to my systems?

Not for the first review, which uses your public site and your answers. If the project goes ahead we ask for access through a secure route, with the least permission the work needs. Never send passwords or keys through a website form.

How is a redesign priced?

It is quoted after the review, because the work depends on the platform, the journeys that must keep working and the scope of the new design.

Can the redesign include AI or automation?

Yes. An AI concierge, follow-up automation or an operations assistant can be scoped alongside the redesign, or added later.

Keep what works. Change what shows.
